I know after reading this your all going to say, "Just let it go, man!" For some reason I just can't. It's like the only grudge I've ever held onto for this long.

I believe this happened back in '93. Me and a friend attended the Busch race at The Milwaukee Mile (http://www.milwaukeemile.com/), we also had pit passes for that day. We were excited because there were a few Cup drivers in attendence. Such as, the late Davey Allison, Harry Gant, Darrell Waltrip, and Rusty Wallace. In case you don't know, Milwaukee does not have a garage area for the drivers and teams to work on there cars, so basically everyone works on them right behind their trailers. So we made our way down the line of trailers meeting drivers and watching them work on the cars. Everyone was great, I was able to get autograph's of some of the best(I wish I would had spent more time getting autographs from the Busch guys, as alot of them are in Cup now). Then we get down to where they're working on Rusty's car. There were no limitations or restrictions, you could stand right next to the car as they worked on it. As we're standing there along with quite a few other fans, Rusty comes out of his trailer yelling at all of us to get away, that everyone is to close to his car.

Now I can understand his concerns, but he was flat out rude. I guess what also stands out about the whole incident was what he was wearing. He had on some sort of golfing outfit. He had baby blue knickers on and some pastel colored polo shirt. He just didn't look like someone who should be having an attitude.

After all was said and done I still ended up getting his autograph.

So that's why? Sound corny? Or am I justified for holding this 8 year grudge?

nice to get along with but every since he went with penske he's been a change person. We saw him a few times at MIS and he'd sign autographs, but after penske never.

Chad, would you believe that I was probably standing right next to you at this incident? Yep, I was there and watching Rusty as they were applying a Harley decal on his car. All the other drivers were at the drivers meeting. Those cars then were still six cylinders and were quite loud. I came back the following year for that race too.

That's one the things I remember most about that race, was just how loud it was. My ears were ringing after it was over.
