I just heard about the wreck a few minutes ago and was looking for the race, not knowing it was a warmup for the race this afternoon. I was looking on the tv and on espnnews, they held a press conference, announcing his death. I don't agree with the fact that theys hould race, the indy car series, only has an average of 15-20 cars that run a race anyway, rahal-letterman racing is pulling their other two cars which include danica patrick, which i agree with their decision, i think that the IRL should postpone the race until one of their MANY off-weeks, if i remember correctly, they only run like 15 races.

They ran races when Cup drivers have died before a race. So I can't see any difference why the IRL would not run this race. I'm surprised though, that they show the wreck. Sometimes they won't show one involving a fatality the same day it happens. And from what I saw, it didn't look bad considering I've seen worse and the drivers walk away. It's one of those things, and you just never know. How sad for his wife, Tonya and his family.

They mentioned how he worked his way up as a writer and a mechanic too.

I don't know if they should have called off the race or not.....but, I don't think there's a driver alive today that wold want an entire race postponed in the event of his death.

I am not sure they should have stopped the race- Maybe they could have for a day. It sure was tragic.
