I was just curious if any of you kept up on the ASA Late Models. Mostly they tour the midwest. I am a crew chief on the one that should be pictured below. This was taken at Midvale Speedway this past weekend. We are going to be racing at Mansfield on July 16th and then we are going to be running a few races in August. One at Baerfield raceway which I think is in FT Wayne, not sure how close that is to anyone, but providing we qualify we will be in the show
www.asalatemodels.com thats the website, it has the picture of our old wedge body latemodel up there.

Ft. Wayne is about 3 hours from me.
If you ever come to South Bend or Mottville I could probably make it.

Well we didn't make the race yesterday...but ofcourse nobody did because they cancelled the show. We didn't have enough points to make the feature, and qualifying was rained out. So we were one of 6 teams that had a choice to run the conselation race. Only problem is...it paid 200 to win, you couldn't transfer to the feature from this race like usual and even if you could transfer, you would have 25 more laps on your tires then usual. ASA LateModels made a POOR decision there and I can see why the main series folded.

THe main series folded because the guy who bought the ASA series wasn't paying his bills, among other things. The drivers weren't getting paid either. I think the last time they went to Charlotte (COncord Speedway), the owner/promoter of the speedway held some of the cars until he got paid.
