As you know Jeff is only 7 races from becoming the 2nd winninest driver in NASCAR. But do you think that Gordon will Reach or beat the 7-Tome Championship record that Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt Sr. hold.

Reach
A) Yes
B) No

Beat
A) Yes
B) NO

My pick is that Yes Gordon will reach the status of a 7 time champion because he is a great driver despite what the hater's think. But I do not think that he will beat the record.

Won't Reach it, Won't Break it

He'll end his winning at 115 and end championships at 5

i also think that he probably get there maybe 6 or 7 but he won't beat petty and earnhardt's record

Jeff's got three positive factors going for him:

1. He's still young(er).
2. He and his team have the financial backing and can afford the best of the best.
3. He doesn't get involved or gets injured in serious crashes.

The problem with a question/poll like this is that every NASCAR driver is a stuck throttle away from an unplanned retirement.

Well I'm gonna try this again to see if it works. This is the third time I've tried to answer.

Anyhoo.

Earnhardt fans will soon see ALL of Dale's records evaporate- thanks to the 24 car.

Petty-? No way, no how. Things are a bit different these days.
