my story:
well i have always had a passion for nascar and racing in general.i remember when i was a kid cheering for the one i had rooted for all my life.The Intimidator.i have always been a fan.
i remember it like it was yesterday.i was watchin the kickoff of another exciting season of nascar.me and my buddies settin at home watchin the race and earnhardt wrecks.and i thought well it is just another wreck.unfortunatley i was wrong.when i heard the news a piece of my heart was takin away forever.now i watch every sunday and wish that he could only have one more race,but i know if we got our wish we would only want another.
today i dont have a favorite driver.i have some i favor and some i dont care for,but i will never have the passion for another racer as i did the intimidator.
i think what holds us to the sport is not just the excitement,but the roots.where it all started.on a sandy beach in daytona,fl.and u know that fans for nascar arent the same as football or basketball because they dont show up the day of the race they get there a week in advance.and to think it all started w/ one race.the daytona 500.
