Ok, I just went out and bought IL2 Sturmovic and this sucker just HOGS my PC of resources! I'm going to try to get the pc to perform better with what I have until I can get my memory upgrade (running 128 meg RDRAM now) I also have problems running NASCAR 4 on occaision (game stalls temporarily)

What can you suggest doing in the meantime to free up some system resources? I am currently using End It All, and am going to get REGCLEAN and CACHEMAN installed later today. Is there anything else you can think of to help with faster performance?

specs:

P4 1.3 ghz
128 mhz RAMBUS
DX 8.1
Voodoo5 5500 PCI (64 mhz)
PCI soundcard (soundblaster ??)

Well, the happy ending is 512 megs of extra RDRAM (640 total) and an Nvidia GeForce 4 ti 4200 w/128 RAM :D Me happy now.

Now I only have a sound card problem. Anyone else have a Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 and know how to get the thing to install without errors? I'm getting a "missing devcon32.dll" error every time I try to install, and aparrently I'm not the only person that this affects :( A brand new sound card should work straight out of the box IMO...Creative needs to answer my e-mails and/or release a PATCH for this stupid thing before I take a hammer to it!

I am gonna guess Windows ME or Windows 98, because the DirectX version and the PCI slots. If it is Windows 2000 there is not nearly enough RAM. By the way it would be 64 MB on the video. Now to a possible fix, make sure you have the most current Drivers, dont foget the Chipset drivers either. Are you running a Virus Detection program while using NASCAR 4? If so disable it when playing, this will free up some resources.
