Also from Flossie Johnson's cookbook
1 med. chicken, boiled, deboned and diced.
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1 cup milk
1 stick butter or margarine
1 pkg. Dressing mix
1/1/2 cups chicken broth
1 medium onion, chopped
Mix first four ingredients and place in a casserole dish. In a separate bowl, mix together the remaining ingredients. Put mixture over chicken and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
My notes--Sometimes I use just chicken breasts and I don't dice it into chunks. I just kinda debone and rough chop the cook chicken. And sometimes I use two whole chickens.
I use a 16 oz. package of Pepperidge Farm cornbread dressing, that comes in the bag (if you can find it). I have tried other dressings and cornbread tastes the best, but that's my opinion. If you use that big a package, you may have to add a little more broth. I use the broth the chicken was boiled in.
