Johnny Sauter

[Rumor]

Johnny Sauter drove Richard Childress' BGN car to a 5th place finish yesterday. That is his first ride in that car too.

Johnny is also the ASA points leader, a rookie, and has broken alot of records in that series. Including one set by his father, Jim.

He is also gonna be the driver of the 21 BGN car next year full-time. If he's as good as he is in the ASA, people better watch out.

Are they still talking that Johnny will share that ride with Skinner? I hope not because he will be disqualified from trying to go for ROTY for 2002 if he does. He is a good driver. I have seen the Sauters run many Saturday night races...all of them but Johnny. I hope he does real well next year.

From what they have been saying during the ASA races, Johnny is gonna be with Childress next year. Last night, they said that he will run 5 races this year. So my guess is he will be eligible for the ROTY next year.
