Well, I guess you all are wondering...Is Nascar4 worth it? Is it fun?
The answer is YES. There is literally 100's of things you can do in Nascar4 from online racing to offline racing against the ai.
Online Racing
Ahh..The smell of real human competition. Race your buddies on any Winston Cup track. Put your money where your mouth is and see whos the best!
Don't be afraid to make mistakes. Nascar4 takes alot of practice....Even as a beta tester I practice all the time..Improving my lap speeds at EVERY track. If you do make a mistake online, don't worry about it. The majority of Nascar'ers online are very willing to help you out, just ask! You will across some jerks though...Don't pay any attention to them, join a leauge!
Their are also several Nascar4 leagues you can join. You can ask about the Nascar4 leagues in the lobbys online. That will be a very resourceful tool to use. Chances are that if you join any pick-up races there will be quite a few wreckers in the field. That's why I strongly suggest getting into a league. Get online get in the action!
Offline Racing
Another fun way of playing Nascar4. You can races against 43 cars on any track on the Winston Cup schedule. Again offline mode provides hours of fun! There is also a number of views you can choose from: Cockpit, Chase, Bumper-cam, and the hood few.
However the 1 downside to Nascar is it's a big graphics hog. Anything above a 750GHz processor would help your chances greatly. You need a good graphics card to. You need at least an 8 mb graphics card to run Nascar4. A 32mb graphics card is recomended. Now that we've got that out of the way; more features. The resolution in Nascar4 can go as high as 1600x1200x32 A GeForce3 running at around 400$ would be your pretty much best bet at running that resultion. But you don't need the lastest computer on the market to have fun with this game.
Awesome realism is Nascar4! You can barrel roll, there is realistic damage, and if the conditions are right, you can get airborne!
Nascar4 also features very realistic replays. You can choose from TV1, TV2, Spectator Cam, and thats not even half. You can choose to look at a replay from any and every angle on every car. From front bumper cam, right side cam, left side cam, blimp cam, roofcam, and even the cockpit cam. Thats as real as it gets!, and more!
Custom Painted Cars
Paint like the pros in Paintshop pro and in photoshop. Those are IMO the best programs to paint Nascar4 with. I personally use Paint Shop Pro 7. Painting takes alot of practice. Mess around do whatever, don't give up. That's why I've been able to accomplish painting Nascar4 cars. Most of all, have fun.
