I want to know why nascar still uses carburators when they could get much better performance out of fuel injection systems
Maybe its just that the teams are too old fashioned or something...

No offense or anything but...Maybe I'm under the wrong impression but why would you join a Nascar forum if you think Nascar sucks?

...and to answer your question, if there is a problem with your fuel system, it is a lot quicker to change a carb. than it is to change a fuel injected system...and there is less chance of damage to the system if the car runs out of fuel...AND as we all know, NASCAR folks are just a bunch of rednecks & hillbillies...right Ford Lady 6??

JMO there would be a lot of cheating with fuel injection
old fashion? I don't think any NASCAR team is old fashion,
these guys could do thing with fuel infection that would amaze all of us.

is that fuel injection almost always requires
an electric fuel pump, which is something
that NASCAR frowns upon because even if a
car wrecks and the motor stops running, power
to the pump is usually still on, and fuel
can potentially flow everywhere, further
exacerbating a potentially dangerous situation...
