I have a feeling that my CTS is going to fold. :(
they are having so many problems.
And as I posted in the members lounge, the second team to close in one week, Menards has shut down the shop, sold the equipment and walked away from the division.
I have no doubt that Reffner will find a ride if they stay running...maybe a multi car team will pick him up.....they'd be stupid not to.
I really hope that I am wrong about this...but I don't have a very good feeling about it.
I've always loved the trucks....and I'll surely miss it.
I guess I better pack up all my diecast CT's and get them down to Nazareth this Aug...to have them signed.....Might be the last chance I get to finish getting them all autographed.
:(

I have been pretty busy for the past few days so I didn't hear about this...I was wondering why Reffner was not on the entry list  I have always LOVED the truck series but have never been able to see 'em race because they never came very close to me...I will be seeing my first truck race this weekend at Darlington and can't wait! This is some great racin!

Go Ruttman, Hensley, Musgrave, Carlos, Setzer, and others!!!!...not necessarily in that order

Nascar has not done much to promote the series in several years. When it first started, people were curious and they ran on short tracks and in alot of areas so people could see a Nascar event. And yes, that was some great racing.

Throughout the years though, they left many short tracks opting for larger tracks, which in my opinion the series was not designed for that. Now, for the most part they run in companion events for CART or IRL races and the occasional cup/busch race. Sometimes they do have stand alone events or have other companion events.

Sponsors are dropping out, owners are leaving. IT's like why should they stay in a series that isn't getting promoted like it should. I suspect that it may fold in the next few years. That will be a shame because they do have some good races.

Swampy, I hope you have fun seeing your first truck race. I almost went the year they were at MIS, but it was too dang hot and I didn't go.

Hooray.....I'm not alone!
I actually started out as an exclusive Trucks fan....then started getting into the Cup...but they have held thier place in my heart since.
Trackrat and I go every year to watch the trucks and Busch series out at Nazareth Speedway...that's an awesome time!
Last year we were in the garage area as the race ended and Dennis Setzer had just won...Just as he climbed out of his truck we were passing and he allowed us to take a picture..(him and Trackrat shaking hands)....that was cool! He was tired as all get out and he was sweating up a storm...but it didn't matter to him.....he was more than happy to let us get the pic. I'll never forget that. A lot of drivers are so tired that they don't wanna be around ANYONE after a race...but not Dennis...he was awesome!
Unfortunately the Trucks schedule has them coming to Nazareth in Aug. this year instead of May...the Busch series is coming thier regular date but will not be with the trucks.....also, they've cut out the pit and paddock passes for both series'...That stinks!!! I'm not so sure I'll go this time...First time I'll miss it in years. :(
