Ward???????

Has anyone heard if Ward was airlifted to a hospital. I was reading some boards that said he was.

He looked OK. Hopefully, if it's true, it was a precaution. That was a nasty lick though.

He looked o.k. to me. I sure hope he is all right.

I know, but it took awhile for him to get out. Maybe he did black out while in the car. I hope it's not serious.

I was just surfing around, and I just read elsewhere that they did it so he could beat the traffic.

I think it was more of an observation thing myself.

Yeah, maybe there will be something tomorrow about it. I'm about ready to fall asleep, so I may just check the online papers in the morning, since I know ours won't say much about the race.

In USA today, they said Ward was admitted because he was disoriented when he got out of the car, and also because of a small cut on his chin.

I had a feeling it was a bit worse than they let on. He did pull the window net down on his own after the crash, but after that he didn't move.
I am so glad he is okay.
We don't need anymore injuries or deaths...our sport is getting a bad enough rap as it is now. People just don't understand it that's all...they can't comprehend our sport because they aren't throwing a ball around the infield....ya know?!

More on Ward. There is talk that he may not race at Richmond. Seems he stretched some neck ligaments, but a decision hasn't been made yet.

His safety device, which was not a HANS but I can't remember at this time what it's called, did it's job but he's still sore.
