I don't know how many of you listen to them, but thanks to them I have the song "Ned Beatty Had the Hardest Part.' Running through my head--again.

That's a song that their gong show winner done a few weeks ago. Seems people send in songs and they vote on a winner. Well this guy wrote a song about Ned Beatty in Deliverance and they just played it again.

Just when I thought it was safe to listen to the radio again!  ;););)

I heard 'Pajama's'. hehehe :) And the 'weenie wacker song' too.

Are you listening today. Do you know who sings the song, 'blues man." I think that's what it's called. They played it about an hour ago. Sounded like Merle Haggard but I don't think it was him.

Blues Man is a Hank Jr. song. I did not hear them play that!! That's pretty cool. Alan Jackson played that song in concert Saturday evening...it's great.

Thanks Swampy,

That's the first time I have heard that song, and I loved it.

Usually any new songs I hear is from them or if I happen to have CMT on, which is rare. Yesterday, I had on the radio in my room and they played Fancy Free by the Oaks. I thought Yeah, until I realized it was an oldies segment they have on Sunday nites!

How was the Alan Jackson concert? I like him.

It was a pretty good concert. We did not even stay to watch George Strait, and from what I heard, we didn't miss much. My buddy that gave me the tickets said Alan Jackson was better, so I guess I saw the best part of the show. The band Lonestar was crap and everyone else was pretty good.

Kat-A-Pillar, I heard when they played that full song and wish I had taped it! I did have a couple tapes I filled with JB&B bits off the radio, but I think I lost 'em...I wanna start taping the drivers interviews every Monday...that would be pretty cool to have them all on tape.

Glad you enjoyed it for the most part--other than Lonestar I suppose.

I never saw any of them in concert. I've seen the Oaks gobs of times and they always put on a good show, at least the ones I've been too. Vince Gill was good and so were the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. I guess I've been lucky and never been to a bad one.

And I shoulda taped the Ned Beatty song. I had a tape in the recorder cause they were supposed to play the weenie wacker song last week, but never did. Oh well, we can always call and request 'Ned Beatty." hehehehehehehe

And I like that idea about the driver interviews. I've heard Kyle on before and he was funny as heck.
