Sorry for the not being around much this week, it's been a busy one. I'll try and fill you in with all the details.

First, I have a new job(kinda). I was hired back from my former employer (http://www.bsninc.com). The client I was at since January was coming to an end(the contract was ending) and my employer did seen to have any else going on for me. But I have been in contact with my previous employer since I left. When I left he hired someone to replace me(is that possible!?!:)). Well, that person didn't enough experience to handle the job and the owner asked me if I would be willing to come back for same amount of money that I left for. Needless to say, I said yes. Now my daily commute is less than 5 minutes as opposed to the 45-90 minutes it was. And with gas prices going up like crazy that works to my benefit as well. And no more tolls.

Secondly, the baby has really been a handful this week. It's seems like nothing can make him happy and the wife and me are pretty stressed out. I know it will get better, but until then I've been helping out my wife as much as I can to give her time to rest. I did take an awesome picture of him last night, which I'll post later.

Really that’s about it, but it's keeping me very occupied. Plus I have to design a new website for my job. Take a look at the current status here, http://www.bsninc.com/new/ and let me know what you think.

And I find it hard to believe that Brandon would cause anyone stress! He's so adorable! :)

Chad you are gonna think that I am nuts but I know what will help with the little guy, this is tried and true and I would be willing to put money on it's effectiveness.

What he needs is for the two of you to find a way to get away for a good portion of a day and just relax...no work, no baby along...just the two of you and whatever your favorite form of relaxation AWAY FROM HOME!

First time parents worry too much, expecially moms and this transfers to babies...the restlessness, fear of health problems, nervousness that you are not doing something right (and I would bet that you are both doing everything right!) and the change in the daily routine are all emotions that it is impossible to conceal completely. The little guy senses stress and he gets wound up as well. Lisa has been experiencing postnatal emotions, she might not think so but she has and that is also relayed to the little one. It might not be depression (it wasnt in my case) it may just be restlessness.

My mom raised 12 children and that was the BEST advise she gave me before she passed away...for both of us to get away a couple times a month and relax. The hardest part for me was finding someone that I could leave my little guy with that I would not worry about if he was fussy. I'm not saying that you will come back new people but it will be good for all three of you! Schedule it and stick to it Chad. I have passed that advise on to new first time parents many times in the last 14 years and been told as many times that it has worked for them. I know exactly what you and Lisa are going thru as does every parent that posts here.

Make that outing soon....you will be glad that you did!

Kel

I've got a plain ol Yamaha electric. I'm no good, I just like to make lots of noise!! Basically the only songs I know are Metallica ones.

I usta play bass and still have mine...a 1990 Charvel in EXCELLENT condition. I could play ALL Metallica songs from their first 4 albums as well as some Slayer, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, and much more. I was in a band during high school and we even opened up for The Drifters once!! I got shot in the neck and lost the use of my left hand, so I cannot play anymore...but I will probably never get rid of my guitar...I still love that thing...the smell, the feel, the color....ahhhhhh. I also played guitar some and learned a few Metallica songs with the solos. The guy that replaced me in our band went on to play for Almost Nuts Band (http://www.almostnuts.com/) and he still owes me 300 bucks for my Fender amp  GRRRRRRRRRRrrrr Maybe I can catch him off tour and collect one day??

I now blow a little on the harmonica. I don't enjoy it near as much as I did the guitar :( but I've gotten pretty decent at it anyway.

Here's some musical friends of mine White Cap Band (http://www.whitecapband.com/)

Thanks Kel-

That's good advice. We did drop him off by his grandma's Sunday evening so me and Lisa could go out enjoy a nice meal at at Applebees. That was just what we needed even though ot was only a few hours it was still nice.

On a side note, he's been an absolute blast these last couple of days. He's smiling alot and responding to our voices by making a coo-ing noise everytime we make a noise. It's just fascinating!!:D
