I read your comment on RacingPress about not booing drivers, and you cheer them.

Myself, I don't boo or cheer--I've never booed myself and it usually seemed I was surrounded by the anti-fans of my favorite drivers.  And I usually laughed at most of the booers anyway.

Anyway, whether a person boo's or cheers is their business, but what did you think today of the comment, if you heard it, where Chris Myers said how Tony Stewart got alot of boos?

Now why should he be singled out? Granted, I am a fan of his, but just because of what happened a few races ago, why bring it up. And yes I would feel the same way if they brought up any driver being booed, cause it is singling him out.

I have read reports by people who went to races that particularly liked to single out that so and so was booed a ton. The person that wrote those comments was usually not a fan of that driver. Then I hear from another person--a reliable person--that it was the total opposite, and others agreed.

What is the point of this post? I have no idea. I think I have heat stroke. I guess it's just what you, or anyone, thought of that mention of the boos, when they rarely if ever do it for other drivers.

When I attend races I boo and I cheer! I really get into it when I am there. I dont care what the people around me think. I boo a VERY SELECT FEW and I cheer ALL OF THE OTHERS. I am sure that the drivers are aware that everyone there has an opinion and I seriously doubt that they care who is booed the loudest or anything like that. As far as mentioning it on FOX, I have heard it mentioned at other races, once last year that I can recall when the Brickyard race was on they said "Gordon was actually cheered here"!
And I did not think anything of that. I think they are just making small talk!

As I said, it was just a question, but they seemed to make it a point to say that. Guess they were bored.

And I don't do any of that stuff at tracks since the driver of one fan got mad and started to come after me. All I said was, I do not like him. This person was going on and on how great he was, blah blah blah. And he assumed who my favorite driver was--this was before Tony was in stocks--and told me that my driver was a dirty driver, he sucks, etc. that was going a bit extreme and that's why I do not do anything during driver intros. Just bothers me that fans have to go that far when someone makes a comment like that.

I wanted to jump on here for a minute to wish everyone a great day!! :flame:

Rumor, I didn't know you lurked at Z-Mercury!! That's an intellectual bunch over there, ain't it?...To proove my point, I just jumped into the LEAD in our race picks contest! :p

To comment on what you were saying, Rumor, I feel it was uncalled for for the announcer to single out Tony Stewart. What does that have to do with the race, and what difference does it make? I guess he was just tying to think of something to say. I've heard Buddy Baker comment on the drivers getting booed and cheered, but he actually got into a little discussion about it and named SEVERAL drivers that the crowd reacted to...If the announcer wants to discuss the booing, I think that's fine...but he shouldn't just say, "So-and-so got the most boos today, enjoy the race"
