This is from the Dish Networks FAQ

Question
How many receivers can one family have?

(i.e: hook up, connect, add, multiple, boxes, 2, two, 3, three, 4, four, T.V.'s, need, equipment.)

Answer
You can have up to 6 receivers on one account. If you have more than 6 you would need another account built.

Assuming you have a DISH 500, you can install up to 4 receivers to one dish. You must have 2 DUAL LNBFs. Once you exceed 2 receivers, you do need to move from an SW42 to a SW44 or SW64 multiswitch to transmit the signal to all receivers.

If you only have a DISH 300 you can use up to a 4 way multi switch and have receivers on up to 4 televisions.

Please note that each additional receiver on the account will add a $4.99/month addition outlet fee.

Well that's not fair to the kitties. :(

My office is the living room! The computer is about 6 feet from the tv.

What about the kitchen? hehehe

I take it you have a source for additional receivers...do you know of an online company that sells these things at a good price??

Our bedroom is our office, and our tv is also about 6 feet from the computer...problem is, we don't get race channels, just stupid ABC & CBS...NBC barely comes in and FOX is but a distant dream. We NEED another receiver but cannot find one under 130 BUCKS!!!

Swamp-

I was pricing a DirecTV system from American Satellite (http://www.americansatellite.com/Default.asp?bhjs=1&bhsw=1152&bhsh=864&bhswi=928&bhshi=716&bhflver=5&bhdir=0&bhje=1&bhcold=32&bhrl=-1&bhqt=-1&bhmp=-1&bhab=-1&bhmpex=&bhflex=5,0,42,0&bhdirex=&bhcont=lan&bhcd2=986512963) and they sell receivers for as low as $99.
