Here is my story of Ernie Irvan. I live in akron Ohio about 5-10 ,mile away from a local track called Barberton speedway. in 1995 four days before Ernie irvans crash at michigan he appeared for an outograph session. My nieghbor worked as a consultant and head of valvoline instant oil changes in Ohio. He had a good friend who owned the track and brought ernie from the airport to the track. HE ask them to sign something for me and ernie said no I only work for money. He kept telling him about me and at the time I was an irvan freak! At the track when they ask if I could talk to him for a while he said no I don't like to work for free. When I heard this I changed to Mark Martin and He was my favorite till now!

I've had good and bad encounters with drivers--mostly good. And it's those memories I do remember more than the bad ones.
