You can see the new forum software in action

Well, I got my hands on a beta copy of the new software the runs this forum. Please take a look, feel free to register and try out some of the many new and improved features.

Don't be alarmed by the color and layout, these are all the default and will be changed when the final product is released.

If you have any problems or if anything seems buggy, please let me know show I can report it to the developers.

I registered, and made a post. Are we gonna be able to do things like you have with that eyeball. :eek:

Yup!!You just need to go into the profile section and choose to use a custom avatar. Also you will be able to give yourself a custom title.

I tried to post a pic in that avator section and kept getting cannot find server. This was in IE,, and I didn't try it using netscape.

Is this just a problem with the beta version and everything isn't ready to go, or am I not doing something right?

How exactly were you trying to do it?

Here are the steps
1) Click on profiles
2) When your in profiles, click on Edit Options
3) Near the bottom, click the button that says to change avatar
4) Click the options the says Yes to 'Use custom Avatar'
5) Then choose one from the internet or locally on your computer.
6) Then click on submit modifications.

Let me know if that doesn't work

That is what I did before. I even followed your directions, just in case and after I hit submit I get cannot find server. It didn't work in netscape either.
