By the way, Mike Borkowski won a multi-million dollar lawsuit against AT&T and Bill Davis for Breach of Contract and willful intent to destroy his career (despite advertising the other way around). Actually, Bill Davis had been without much-needed sponsorship and made an attempt (successfuly so) to take AT&T sponsorship from Borkowski's own marketing company by intentionally slandering his name. The PR slander in Sports Illustrated attempting to make Mike Borkowski out to be a reckless dirver was simply PR propaganda by Bill Davis. It cost Bill Davis and AT&T a bundle. Too bad Bill Davis and AT&T! You haven't seen the last of Mike Borkowski.

DENVER (AP) -- A NASCAR driver whose on-track altercations resulted in at least three crashes allegedly tarnished his
sponsor's image and the company wants its money back.
AT&T Broadband, based in Arapahoe County, Colo.,, has filed a lawsuit in Denver federal court against driver Mike Borkowski
and his Ohio marketing company, ESBG Marketing Inc., of Dublin. The action alleges the company was left “black and blue” by the driver's conduct and seeks the return of $600,000 in sponsorship.
The breach-of-contract suit, filed Friday, alleges Borkowski and the company broke the terms of their sponsorship agreement in May when Borkowski was involved in several nationally televised altercations.
Borkowski, 26, who reportedly has moved from Ohio to northern
California, could not be reached for comment.
The suit said Borkowski's behavior at the Busch 200 at New Hampshire International Speedway was “condemned by members of the Media”and prompted his release from Bill Davis Racing after competing in just eight races for the season.
AT&T cited a May 13 incident in which Borkowski recklessly steered his AT&T-sponsored Pontiac into a car driven by Lyndon Amick. In a second altercation the same day, the suit said, Borkowski clipped Jason Jarrett's car, sending it into a wall.
The crashes, including Borkowski's own crash in the final lap of the May 13 race, caused extensive damage to the AT&T car, and Borkowski was roundly criticized by race officials, television commentators and fellow drivers, the lawsuit asserts.
If this is true, Insider, I am glad things turned out in favor of Borkowski. Serves them "suits" right! :)
